E.C.U. REMAPPING AND D.P.F REMOVAL D.P.F (diesel particulate filter) is a device to remove diesel particulate matter and soot from the exhaust gas from a diesel engine. This means cleaning is required as part of the periodic maintenance of the vehicle and must be done carefully to avoid damaging the filter. Improper cleaning or damage to the filter can cause further problems with the fuel injectors and/or the turbo.
